It's main message seems to be to blame the victims for the fire in extremely threatening language. No mention of the criminal landlords practices, nothing about the lack of fire alarm, dodgy electrics or unsafe conditions in the flat for several years leading up to the fire. 2/3

This omits the London fire Brigade visit to the flat just months before the fire, the council and Tower Hamlets Home's well documented knowledge about dangerous conditions in the flat for years beforehand. It tarnishes the victims + endangers us all for the foreseeable future 3/3

Sunday 8 October Tarling West residents will be opening up the gates to a brand new community garden in Shadwell

Seven months since the Maddocks House Fire, Tower Hamlets Council are now bringing the landlords to court under powers endowed to them by the Housing Act. There is some chance of justice. This will be made more likely by public pressure.
