For any of the parties to have accepted any money from fossil fuel interests is unacceptable. For the governing party to have taken 8.4m is obscene. He who pays the piper calls the tune - is it any wonder the Govt has been propping up the planet-wrecking fossil fuel industry?

The most useful thing I think I can do this morning is suggest questions to ask politicians in this election. A thread.

This is Ross Hills, Ross is a Tory party councillor

Ross (seen here in hi viz & microphone) pretended to work for McVitie's, but was in fact a Tory plant placed to ask Rishi Sunak scripted questions at a televised campaign launch

As much as I’m happy that no flights to Rwanda will take off…

As much as I’m happy that his flagship policy is now in the toilet

I find it absolutely galling that they spent £370m of our money (and the rest) on absolutely nothing.

As he announces the election, Sunak attacks ‘environmental dogma’ as he gets drenched in rain on the day scientists announced that super wet weather was now ten times more likely due to climate change. This picture is a symbol of denial

UK competition regulator probes £5bn a year veterinary industry.

People ripped off with excessive charges for medicines, prescriptions, pet care.

There are many different ways of doing it, and I don’t intend in this thread to be prescriptive. We explore some of them in The Invisible Doctrine. Hundreds more are available.
But the key takeaway is:
WE DO NOT HAVE TO BE GOVERNED LIKE THIS.

Westminster may be gripped by election fever now, but in other news tomorrow Ofwat will be deciding if greedy & failing water companies can hike bills by up to 91%. I joined nearly 40 MPs across parties calling on Ofwat to reject their outrageous demand.

6: At every general election, we are faced with a binary choice. With one cross, we are deemed to have signalled our agreement everything in a party’s manifesto and everything else – if it wins – it can ram through Parliament over the next five years. 🧵

Dear Students.

The Conservative Party have been attempting to suppress your ability to vote, mainly because they know most of you cannot stand them.
Apathy is a big issue, please do something about it, register to vote, get your ID sorted, show the Tories how you feel.

Migrants don't cause your problems, nor do disabled people, or pensioners, people who don't work, or even the constantly maligned Asylum Seekers.

No it is the billionaires who own the Media and Government who cause ALL your problems, and they won't ever blame themselves.

Whoever you are going to vote for, get out and vote

Not voting is exactly what they want, then you can be completely ignored.
