Someone posted a pic of our book "How to Heal a Bad Birth" & asked if it was any good. All feedback received was positive, but the one that made us cry was this (we asked permission to share). This is EXACTLY what we hoped our book would provide- we are so very glad.#birthtrauma
Birthtalk.org rebirthblogger Heal a Bad Birth @thesupermummyth second that. The book is great, Trauma is real and healing is possible is such a powerful message and the hope and tools women need. Also love #thesupermummyth for tools on the emotional fallout of motherhood.
@tranquilbirthuk Birthtalk.org rebirthblogger Heal a Bad Birth Ah thanks for the shout out - I absolutely love Heal a Bad Birth. Would love to think that The Supermum Myth complements it as a tool to work through trauma safely and with appropriate guidance and support Psychology Time 🙏🏼❤️
Celia Kitzinger Lesley Page CBE @HackneyDoula WeMidwives 💙💛 Mary Newburn RoyalCollegeObsGyn After my traumatic birth I read "Ourselves As Mothers" by Sheila. Then I read her book Rediscovering Birth and both these books helped shape me as a mum & were part of my journey to a wonderful HBAC. I've kept them for my teen daughter for later. V grateful to your mum ❤️
Becoming Heal a Bad Birth Thank you. We all need to talk more about births, #birthtrauma #ptsd #pnd &how they affect us as well as health professionals' responsibility to provide proper care&support. Have good days&bad days, trying my best to survive. Part of the shock was the level of #obstetricviolence
