Why #breastfeeding can be so hard after #birthtrauma & why it's not yr fault. A free excerpt from our book "How to Heal a Bad Birth". Such an important read, esp if you felt like a failure if BF was just so hard, or didn't work out. Link here: bit.ly/2uM1C76 #wbw2018
More aims.org.uk has reviewed our book, "How to Heal a Bad Birth!" We love the work AIMS has been doing for years & are so proud to receive this review! Below is a quote from the review, and you can read the full review here: bit.ly/2Mlxvx6 Thank you AIMS! #birthtrauma
It’s our book! Being used just as we’d always hoped - by women needing support, in their own time, on their own terms, creating their own journey towards healing ❤️ Thx so much rebirthblogger for sharing and best wishes for the journey 💕
Someone posted a pic of our book "How to Heal a Bad Birth" & asked if it was any good. All feedback received was positive, but the one that made us cry was this (we asked permission to share). This is EXACTLY what we hoped our book would provide- we are so very glad.#birthtrauma
Why we started Birthtalk.org. Why we wrote our book How to Heal a Bad Birth And why we are still here after 15 years, doing this work. The important thing to know, and our message to you all is this: not only is #birthtrauma real...but it is possible to heal.
Congrats to Peter Dornan AM for his award for 50 yrs in Sports Med. Peter has kindly allowed us to use his physio rooms for 15 years so we could have free meetings to support women after birth trauma. We are so proud of him!
@tranquilbirthuk Birthtalk.org rebirthblogger Heal a Bad Birth Ah thanks for the shout out - I absolutely love Heal a Bad Birth. Would love to think that The Supermum Myth complements it as a tool to work through trauma safely and with appropriate guidance and support Psychology Time 🙏🏼❤️
Launching our 2nd presentation today at #birthissues2018 conference - research shows woman's SUBJECTIVE experience of giving birth has more impact on her mental condition afterwards than any real complications. So don't ask her what happened. Ask her HOW SHE FELT. #birthtrauma x.com/spiltmilkpsych…
Illustrating how women after #birthtrauma often are weighed down in layers to protect from cultural messages eg 'You should be grateful', 'At least the baby is healthy' etc We offered KEYS to help birth workers gently release these layers so women can hear and receive REAL help. x.com/spiltmilkpsych…
