Tory MP, Mark Menzies has the whip suspended over investigation into misuse of campaign donations.

The Fylde MP becomes the latest Conservative to lose the whip after he allegedly called his elderly former campaign manager at 3.15am to demand payment for some “bad people”.

Today marks 40 years since WPC Yvonne Fletcher was shot and killed on duty as she policed a protest in St James’s Square.

This morning Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley visited the scene and laid a wreath in Yvonne’s memory.
