Some photos from a 3 day tour to East Lincs & The Wolds with johnevigar. Pure quality throughout the 20+ churches, some redundant, some thriving, some facing a dark future. But all with a treasure of their own to give up. A great experience and superb guide, as always.
Would any podcasters like to record a session talking about the Historic Building Mythbusting book?
Its out on 6 June via The History Press & I'd love to have a natter w/ folk about secret passages, ship timbers, castles, Devil's doors & the oldest pub in the country... 🧐🏡📗🍺🤓

Spent the morning sowing arable #wildflower seeds in & around the crops. Perhaps most pressing but overlooked aspect of #conservation is bringing back the flowers of ploughland. Cornflower is a personal favourite - not least coz those miniature shaving brush seeds :) #farming
#StoneworkSunday from Leominster Priory - carving on the interior West Door by the Herefordshire School of Romanesque Carvers.
#StainedGlassSunday from St John the Baptist, Honiley. The window is by Theodora Salusbury and denotes 'Angels in Adoration' and was commissioned in 1926.
For #StainedGlassSunday , a detail from the beautiful window at Pangbourne, #Berkshire , by Karl Parsons, 1919, a #WWI war memorial window to George Carlyon Armstrong, d. 1915 aged 18. Combating war and grief with beauty. Nb - click for lambs!
