Today's tasks:
(1) Locate out of the way Creeting St Peter church (within sight & sound of A14 but new local road system not on Google Maps)
(2) Spend time with St Peter’s Goldilocks, Ranunculus nubiliviridis. Really tatty flowers & already producing achenes! 🤗

The time of year when more wild flowers are making an appearance in the grassland of burial grounds. If you visit a site that is letting grass grow longer to let flowers to grow, please show your support by leaving a message in the visitors book🌿

Snake's-head Fritillaries now flowering beautifully in my local churchyard, naturalised here for many years and slowly spreading, along with thousands and thousands of Primroses!

The bird boxes have been repaired and in some cases metal plates have been put over the holes the squirrels and woodpeckers tried to enlarge. All is now ready for the nesting season hoping that the nuthatches as well as the blue tits and robins will return.

If you have visited the Churchyard recently, you may have seen this area set aside to not be mowed. The parish's approach to mowing this year will see some areas mowed but others allowed to grow more wild and support the local wildlife. Caring for Gods Acre
