Do you remember this?

That footnote was me! And I’ve now published a book called Gender/Fucking: The Pleasures and Politics of Living in a Gendered Body that also walks the fine line between serious insight and shitposting.

Websites that carry it: tiny.cc/genderfucking

There is a huge sale on Gender/Fucking’s Kindle version! I’m not a fan of Amazon, but this is such a huge discount I can’t not mention it. 📚

If you haven’t gotten your copy yet, now’s a great time! 🎉

🚨📚 Today is release day for my new book Gender/Fucking: The Pleasures and Politics of Living in a Gendered Body!

Asking what we can learn from sexual arousal, the book takes an incredibly raw and thought-provoking look at community, queerness, fetishization, trauma, and hope.

Remember that the alternative that anti-trans obsessives offer here is not a different treatment better supported by the evidence, it is quite literally 'get over it'

Oh no! The person I nicknamed “the girl who’ll break my heart” broke my heart? Who could ever have predicted that. 😅

We don't have to imagine a self-serving hypothetical. When I worked at the University of Tennessee, actual nazis twice reserved a room and gave speeches.

The police *protected* the nazis, ensuring they were safe and could speak.

The justification is “we hate trans people, think they’re inherently biased, and therefore refuse to have any trans commissioner.”

They’re neither a good faith nor an independent institution. They’re just an instrument of Conservative policy.

The EHRC has spent several years focusing on attempts to take trans people’s human rights away.

Trans people have been its core focus for a long time.

Yet it has NEVER had a trans commissioner.

How can EHRCChair possibly justify this?

Let's be clear -while Cass refutes that summary of the Cass review out of one mouth, she says different out of another.

Cass holds some of the blame here for the right wing press reporting this way.

Gender assessments aren’t known to be reliable and more often than not merely reflect cisnormative biases.

I strongly disagree that 7+ appointments is 'good evidence that kids were being assessed', simply that they were being 'gatekept' by psychologists. For more on harms of GIDS protocols, & issues with relying upon psychs as gatekeepers for healthcare see tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…

Wow, I can't believe Michael Hobbes doesn't isn't listening to this account of youth gender medicine is 'allegedly practiced' practiced from a blatantly political lawsuit where the plaintiff is represented by a dude from the Federalist Society. /1
