I’m just throwing it out there that as a Seattleite, I go downtown all of the time because I can get there easily via walking and transit. If I lived in many of the suburbs, I absolutely would not because parking is a nightmare and transit takes too long.

In practice, a small number of trans girls want to get bottom surgery at 17 so they can recover the summer between high school and college. Why is the New Hampshire legislature more qualified to decide whether or not they can than their doctors and parents?

Hi Keir Starmer. I was treated with Puberty Blockers 24 years ago by the NHS under a Labour government. I am physically and legally a woman. I have been using NHS single-sex services and accommodation all my life without issue. Why are you throwing me under the bus now?

Do children actually utter the words, “I hate my sexed body?” As much as these people want to appropriate the language of body positivity onto trans kids, this isn’t actually what they’re telling you.

I support the workers of iHeart Podcast Union demanding fair pay and benefits. I suspect iHeartMedia/iHeartPodcasts can pony up the money for this without any changes. But if I have to listen to more Reagan coin ads during Behind The Bastards that's cool too. Pay them what they deserve!

I feel like I'm losing my mind a little: people understand that 'occupying buildings on campus' is, like, one of the most common forms of studen protest for decades and not some devious new ploy devised by professional anarchist plotters, right?

Several of my cis girlfriends (platonic) have asked me if I experience period-like symptoms from HRT. I have explained that I do not, many trans women do, and there's zero science on this because like all things related to both cis and trans women's health, it's under-researched.

The Civil Rights Movement also included a lot of mess, things many people would frown upon today. It wasn’t all glitter and gold. Also, it’s stupid to compare either of these things to a violent to attempt to overthrow the darn government. Good grief.

Don't let a hedge fund millionaire fool you. Even the private long-term care insurance industry, which will benefit from passing I-2124, admits I-2124 will take away benefits from 85% of working men and women in Washington.

On the left I see two dudes trying to pretend they’re comfortable with their bodies. On the right, I see two dudes who ARE comfortable with their bodies and having a great time.

Right, let's talk about how the anti-trans ecosystem lies to you (again)...and how there's usually ways to impede their ability to do this.

Here's Ben Ryan, aping the claim that a recent paper is not a systematic review because (allegedly) systematic reviews need quality evals.

Wiepjes et al's '11 years before regret' figure is in regards to sterilization procedures that trans people were required to undergo in order to change their legal sex for almost the entirety of this study's duration. The regret rates were still less than 1%.

There are multiple studies on other reconstructive procedures in this review with patient response rates lower than 59%, which is within one standard deviation of the mean. The WPATH study is also within one standard deviation of the mean for provider studies.

If the point of treatment is to make people’s lives better, isn’t this an extremely important data point that shouldn’t easily be brushed aside?
