I am going to Lourdes tomorrow, back Thursday. It’s a mixture of research trip for something I am writing, a prayer retreat &, unusually, I am going to be doing yoga & visiting a spa for the very first time, as well as walking. Hopefully there will be lots to write about there!

I have now finished planning my book. It will explain my journey from doing my Ph.D. at Cambridge in dementia in 1997, medical training at Queen Square in 2003, and then being a full time unpaid carer for my mum with dementia for six years. It's a story I want to tell.

Three politicians from the Conservative party, which lost almost 500 councillors and multiple mayoral contests in these local elections, featured on the Laura Kuenssberg programme this morning.

None from the Greens or Lib Dems, who both made significant gains across the country.

Remember the hue & cry over who could decently own a British newspaper (the Telegraph)? The same people oddly muted about a company which used criminal methods, destroyed the evidence and then lied about it
