And the tribunal determined that the doctor failed in their duties for not examining the patient or taking a history themselves and in addition to the PA.

That a doctor would say this👇🏻about another physician’s suicide speaks volumes about a professional culture which prizes “grit” & “resilience” while refusing to acknowledge that work environment is, in fact, a huge determinant of one’s mental health

We must do better

We are at the most improbable point in UK medicine, where the actual Royal College of Physicians, founded in 1518 to represent medically trained doctors, is advocating that one doesn’t need to be a physician to practice medicine.

Outraged for my anaesthetics colleagues. Many of which staffed the ICU during Covid and risked their wellbeing for the sake of their patients. Yet again doctors time, efforts and selflessness disregarded and disrespected 💔

just saw an RTE journalist refer to someone 'suffering from autism'. Could we retire language like that. It isn't a disease or an affliction.
