If you head over to the NYS Museum, you will find FDNY EMS ambulance number 485. That ambulance was assigned to FDNY EMS Paramedic Carlos Lillo who was killed on 9/11.

It is with deep sadness that the FDNY Foundation joins the FDNY in mourning the passing of retired FDNY EMS Lieutenant Anthony S. Cozzino of Station 43, who succumbed to his WTC illness on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Lieutenant Cozzino was a 26-year veteran of the department.

Yesterday a New York federal judge gave EMS workers the green light to proceed as a class in their lawsuit against New York City for paying them far less than all other NYC first responders. There should be no second class first responders in this city. EMS needs pay parity now!
