My grandfather encouraged this—so much that I’m sometimes not sure if poems I know by heart are from his encouragement or from school. I wrote it off growing up, but I find it so comforting to revisit favorite poems now & highly recommend committing one you love to memory

NY friends! Anyone interested in seeing Pam Tanowitz at Bard tomorrow evening (or just need a ride)? I have an extra ticket and am driving from BK in the afternoon, coming back after. DM me!

Literally no words for my passion for Fever, 1793 (about the Philadelphia Yellow Fever epidemic), undeniably Laurie Halse Anderson’s best work (which I probably read over 100 times)

The Director of the UN's New York office just resigned after thirty years at the organisation over the UN's handling of the ongoing genocide of Palestinians. The entirety of his resignation letter is a necessary read but this first page blew me away.
