They came to help - they died fighting our fires. Confirmation that all three crew members killed in an aerial water-bomber crash near Cooma were US residents. @10NewsFirst

Some very intense fire activity yesterday afternoon. Working to the east of Dartmouth lake this fire really took a run. It was a long 7 hours in the helicopter yesterday, no aircon, lots of glass, it was like trying to work in a fish bowl in 40 degree plus heat.

Dear Not ScoMo - your family has a strong connection with our beloved Blackheath. In years past, my old friend has sat with you in church. Just letting you know, we've broken our maximum temperature record ten times, so far this summer, across different months. Regards.✌

Agree completely and the funding is very welcome. What is more, a cheap, almost cost-less step toward improving road safety outcomes would be to require engineers to be registered - best model for that would be a national registration scheme ipweansw IPWEA intouch

All I get from this “exclusive report” (attempted hatchet job?) is that Norman Swan is a man of such integrity that he will still criticise the Govt even though a company of which he is a director (at arm’s length) may be bidding for Govt work. theaustralian.com.au/business/media…

I missed the game last night, but more disappointed about missing this. Sure the naysayers will call it virtue signalling, claim it won’t bring down rates of poverty (like a single action ever could🙄) and is divisive. But that’s all BS: language is something that can unite all

The damage inflicted by last summer’s bushfires has been well documented, but I wonder whether there’s been any assessment of damage due to the drought? This part of #Hartley has seen tree dieback of maybe 30-60%. @peterhannam1.bsky.social?

Will Barton - I like this man. I think we first met in 2004, as fellow weather lovers enjoying a snowfall at Shooters Hill. Check out this very fine, new initiative, We Need to Talk - with Petrhyce Donovan and Will Barton. weneedtotalkpod.com
