Thursday afternoon D-Shift Sarnia Fire Rescue firefighters rescued a dog that went over an ice berm and fell through the ice. Firefighters have the training and equipment to perform this type of rescue. Do not attempt venturing onto unsafe ice at any point.

Last weekend, Lakeshore Firefighters from Stations 1, 2, and 5 braved the elements as part of their annual ice water rescue training certification at Belle River Marina.
