The #UNRwanda Country Team met with UN Special Rapporteur on poverty and human rights, UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty & Human Rights, during his official visit to assess Rwanda’s efforts to combat poverty & uphold human rights.


Today,the Joint Programme on Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment #JPRWEE Partners joined Gisagara District leaders&women-led cooperatives in #SaveSect to launch 10ha solar-powered irrigation facility installation for a reliable water access &crop productivity across 3 seasons a year


To address post-harvest losses, this week FAO in Rwanda, IFADEastAfrica & Andrea Bagnoli, with Rwanda Agriculture & Animal Resources Devpt Board, trained 500 farmers in Nyagatare District on maize post-harvest handling, market access, finance and nutrition, boosting #FoodSecurity, income and resource efficiency.

In #Rwanda, World Food Programme supports over 115,000 refugees with lifesaving food assistance. But limited funding has forced WFP to reduce food rations for some #refugees by half and for others by 75%, making it harder for Perusi and thousands of others to feed their families.
