There's teasing your audience, and there's deliberately baiting them while knowing you have no intention of delivering -- and #TedLasso did that to basically all shippers, while promising rom-communism.

That ending was straight out of a bad rom-com. A terrible montage that was asking the audience to believe in the exact opposite message the show has been about since day one.

So much of the core of the show got ignored like, where are the biscuits?

Guys. it's a dream sequence. Ted can't sleep on planes. Every single scenario that took place after getting on the plane was Ted imagining their future without him. Every story was relevant to Ted's life. We're getting a season 4. 🧵 explaining why: ⏬️⏬️

And remember during their Diamond Dogs meeting they talk about perfection. Perfection sucks. Perfect is boring. These are perfect endings for these characters, and they are because Ted created them.

This makes perfect sense. That final montage was straight out of a bad romcom. If that’s really what they want us to believe in, even if it’s a dream sequence then it’s a fucking shame. But if it’s just the key for a 4th season then… we’ll see how I feel.

What does this scene mean then.

So the fans of the show got fucked while the general public got their messed up version of a happy ending. Okay, got it.

So if they were just supposed to be platonic soulmates why the fuck were they not friends the last *checks notes* two seasons?

If there’s a spin-off let it be about these two.

no, #TedLasso's finale isn't unsatisfying because Ted and Rebecca and Roy and Keeley didn't end up together. it isn't actually about the ships themselves, it's about building a narrative that was leading somewhere and then not paying that off.
