We had a fabulous cake to celebrate our 6th birthday, which was made by one of our members, Mandy.

On January 31st, quite suddenly, Leah Mitchell, ex WRAF CPL Pers Admin, passed away at home. She was only 49 years old. Leah was a much loved member of our club and will be remembered fondly by all. Per Ardua Ad Astra

We are proud to reveal our new memorial garden and bench. Thanks to everyone who helped out with the project. Located at the Red Lion, Battlefield Rd, the garden will be enjoyed by many people for years to come.

Wonderful story on the news this evening. This young man traces his grandfather’s WWII footsteps, over the Pyrenees to Gibraltar. What a superb tribute to this RAF hero.

Hari served in the Royal Gurkha Rifles. Despite losing both his legs in an IED explosion in Afghanistan, he persevered and became the 1st double-leg amputee to climb Everest. His amazing story can be found at blesma.org

We Are Veterans Shrewsbury will be having our Remembrance service on 5th November, after our breakfast gathering. Members will also be attending the service in the Quarry on 12th. Our wreaths are all ready.
