Some lovely wildlife in Woodland Trust Cymru’s Ceunant Llennyrch woods today. Also another bloody balloon. She may be your Little Princess but the balloon you bought her could kill wildlife & farm animals. Please stop buying this 🤬🤬🤬rubbish

Well, the Met Office certainly got the weather wrong today. Nearly didn't go out, but I had a gr8 day! Started with a blowy walk along a #Dorset ridge (found a #LesserWhitethroat ), then spent the rest of the day in #Weymouth . It got sunnier & sunnier! 🌞

#Ferrybridge this afternoon & evening (I went 2x). #Whimbrel , #LittleTerns , #SandwichTerns , #Sanderling , #Dunlin , #Wheatears , #RingedPlovers (and #GND at #PortlandCastle again). Dorset Bird Club Portland Bird Observatory

#Lodmoor & #Radipole were quiet, but #Ferrybridge really came up trumps, this pm! 39 #LittleTerns counted on panoramic video! Quite a sight. Also #Sanderling , #Whimbrel , #Dunlins , many #Wheatears (mainly on carpark boulders), #RingedPlovers . @dorsetbirdclub Portland Bird Observatory

I live in the Bay and find jetskis and paddle boarders a menace to wildlife. No idea about safe distances or what constitutes disturbance. Just selfishness!

7 years I've lived here & altho I've known that #RoeDeer were regularly decimating my garden I'd never seen them in daylight until the last week or so. Two this morning! Gorgeous. My poor apple tree - they were stripping the blossom, first! Dorset Wildlife Trust

Also #Morrisons Morrisons #Bridport ! I asked them to water the plants the other day & was told that the 'Produce staff had gone home & due to cutbacks there was no-one able to do it'. 10 mins is all it would take!! 😡

Better late than never, the surprise arrival of at least 18 hungry Waxwings outside Waitrose in Saxmundham, Suffolk today, feasting on the last of the Cotoneaster berries...

Lots of #Wheatears out on #Exmoor today and a few #Whinchats . Sun was shining, it was warm and the heat haze was amazing! Very beautiful.

It was quite grey out in West Dorset today, but I had a great time. Lots of birds (and Roe Deer) including a few #Yellowhammers . Lovely! Sing like no-ones watching....🤣 Dorset Bird Club

A 2 hr walk turned into 8hr! Gr8 day walking around the fields and lanes of West Dorset. Was looking for #Yellowhammers , but thrilled to find a pair of #DartfordWarblers . Looked like a nesting attempt & may be 1st record for the area. Nice! @Dorsetbirdclub
