SilverQuillCreative Justin Trudeau Paul Manly Times Colonist I believe the rail line was supposed to go to Campbell River as part of the deal! They should use that right of way to run a newer faster line from CR to Victoria, would save on emissions and boost the Islands economy.

City of Ottawa would likely give Talents if taken promptly from Walkley Yard and assumed all liability for damages/ transportation risks etc. Just bid $1 and meet all the legal/insurance requirements. But have (probably) offered already. Island Corridor Trains on Vancouver Island vitcc.ca

Buses and roads will NOT solve regional transportation alone. Rail is required as backbone of such systems, as successfully demonstrated with SkyTrain in Van. Vancouver Island needs same solution. Read more -> vitcc.ca/news/express-b… #bcpoli #rail4VancouverIsland

What option will you have when gas hits $3/litre? Suck it up and pay/pollute? Ride a bike? What about being able to take your bike on a commuter train servicing all of Vancouver Island for less $$? #WakeUpPeople #bcpoli

Canada should be following the European example of ensuring great ground connections to replace bunny-hop flights and make aviation more environmentally and economically sustainable. railtech.com/policy/2021/04…

#Rail4VancouverIsland is inevitable. Simple math. At some point, roads won't handle traffic. Only questions are when & how $much. We hope John Horgan & Rob Fleming will be remembered as visionaries who set us on the right path. Alternative = utter failure costing $billions to fix

Given there are few large communities to stop at along the Ottawa-Havelock-Toronto corridor other than Peterborough, any HighSpeedRail Canada, or VIA Rail Canada #HFR would look more like France TGV 🚅 than Germany ICE 🚄 YOW to YYZ 🚊 in under 5 hours!

This is brilliant! We need this for Vancouver Island. Rob Fleming - please watch! You guys would be heros while vastly reducing commute times, meeting GHG targets and improving peoples lives on the Island! Hydrogen passenger train Surrey2Chilliwack. fb.watch/5t4k7xas7v/

Excursion trains are proven to bring tourism to communities. Upgrading the Island Rail Corridor and having a excursion train would bring more tourism to communities along the corridor! Rob Fleming John Horgan BC NDP @INFC_eng Canadian Tourism @TVI_Corp
