UNICEF is deeply alarmed by reports of an airstrike on a school in Sagaing, Myanmar, that reportedly killed and injured children. As the region continues to reel from the 7.7 earthquake, this compounds trauma for children already facing fear & loss. Schools are #NotATarget.

Children in Gaza are again at risk of famine with access to food and life-saving aid blocked and health systems decimated. This is a manmade crisis. We need a ceasefire, full aid access to Gaza, the protection of children, and release of hostages. NOW unicef.org/press-releases…

UNICEF Spokesperson James Elder speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live. UNICEF has hundreds of trucks waiting to enter Gaza with life-saving supplies for children. We are continuing to distribute the remaining supplies in Gaza to children and families, but they are quickly running out.

UNICEF has the equivalent of over 1,000 truckloads of essential supplies prepared for delivery into Gaza. Humanitarian aid must be allowed to flow unimpeded, and all essential supplies and services must be delivered at scale.

Yesterday, James Elder told Times Radio that almost 1000 children had been killed in Gaza in just two months. That number is already out-of-date. A lasting ceasefire is vital for saving children's lives.

Affordable, local childcare is one of the things that can give every child the best start in life. But with fewer places than children, it’s often unavailable for many families. Sign our petition now so that families receive the support they need. bit.ly/4hGmWzl
