Fantastic ward walk today with Tiffany Li 🦀 around Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust handing out loads of pens and #PayRestorationNow lanyards. Ballots are landing on doorsteps now, and it is clear that docs are absolutely ready to vote for strikes ✅ ASOS ✅ and to #TellThemAgain 🦀

“I can see a way through this.” UK JDC Deputy co-chair Dr Sumi Manirajan tells Sky News that junior doctors in England are ready to negotiate at any point to stop the strikes and get back to treating patients.

We are extremely disappointed AoMRC has excluded The BMA from a meeting to discuss MAPs and doctors in training despite the inclusion of other key stakeholders including NHS England, GMC and ATDC. [1/3]

We're aware that many doctors are being told their training is being automatically extended due to exceeding TOOT thresholds. This should NOT happen. GMC and NHS England confirm there should be no automatic extensions. See our guidance on TOOT 👇 bma.org.uk/toot-ia

A doctor who takes a locum shift during strike action is one less doctor fighting for #PayRestoration Locum before/after strikes, but don’t take advantage of colleagues’ sacrifices by locuming during. For financial support, apply for our strike fund bma.org.uk/strikefund

Misleadingingly contextualised piece, Nick Triggle, which relies, predictably enough, on those infamous anonymous NHS senior sources. The crux of the issue is not, as you claim, 'the speed at which [PAs] are being recruited". 1/n bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

For F1s planning a family, be warned! If you conceive in the next couple of months then you won't yet qualify for NHS maternity pay. I've seen foundation doctors miss out on this by only a few days and it's worth THOUSANDS of ££ so wanted to give you a heads up 👶🏽

Doctors received offers for Radiology training posts at around 3-4pm. They were able to accept these offers on Oriel and received confirmation of acceptance. Offers then began to disappear on Oriel. At 6:30pm they received this email. Simply unacceptable.

When we made our deal in September, we were clear: a late or inadequate DDRB report means re-entering dispute. RDC co-chairs Dr Melissa Ryan 🦀 & Dr Ross Nieuwoudt have written to Gov today – read here👇 If the delay isn’t fixed by 9 April, UKRDC will be back in a formal trade dispute.
