Even in the tranquil waters of the Tavy, Dartmoor, Alistair Boxall found a toxic mess of pharmaceuticals. An increasing body of research suggests meds in waterways have similar effects on wildlife to humans, when tiny creatures swim in them their whole lives.

The Levelling Up and Regeneration Act includes provisions that water companies and Ofwat be obliged to further the purposes of National Landscapes. We now need effective guidance and regulation to ensure this means they actively contribute to their conservation. #cleanwater

Prof.@Ewan_MG estimates that continued privatisation will cost over £11 BILLION in dividends over this Parliament alone. @HMTreasury has confirmed nationalising Thames Water would cost nothing AND reduce costs to bill payers. Inaction costs us more everyday.
