Very annoyed that I have to join facebook in order to be part of my kids elementary school PTO, classroom group, and even to get basic comms about the school. How are other community groups doing stuff like this? At orientation many of us expressed our discomfort with this.

Our island jumped into action putting together 50 beds, giving everyone a good meal, providing a play area for the children, making sure people have the healthcare and support they need. We are a community that comes together to support immigrants.

Proud to live in MA today: FL kidnaps 50 people incl. kids, and puts them on a plane to an unknown destination, just to make a political point. MA receives these people, and the public response of support is so overwhelming that they have to be told to stop donating supplies.

There’s a ballot measure in Massachusetts to implement a 4 percent tax on any income someone makes above $1 million. It impacts less than 1 percent of residents in the state. The opposition to it says—with a straight face—that it’s a middle-class tax hike.
