That’s because many accusations of antisemitism are premised on the racist notion that Palestinians (and Arabs and Muslims) can’t help themselves from killing Jews if given the opportunity. It’s how Israel justifies occupying Palestine. We can’t be free because we’re savages.

If news outlets make mentions of accusations of antisemitism at pro-Palestinian events, they should be specific about what those accusations are actually based on. And reporters and editors should honestly ask themselves: Is it anti-Jewish or anti-Israel/Zionist?
