Has Seesaw dramatically changed what's available in the free version? Because this chart makes it seem that way. How can I convince folks at my school #seesaw is worth trying out? drive.google.com/file/d/1ZPEEBD…

Just did some WODB? Math with a small group of students via zoom. One S said "I could do this all day!" Great engagement from a normally quiet group.

I am overhearing my husband at his Zoom English class. They are being shamed for not doing their homework. Not a question about why they didn't do it. Just shame. My blood is boiling.

I don't use facebook and certainly don't know what facebook live is, but I'm going to figure it out for this! #thisbookisantiracist

I dont have my own personal computer. My district loaned me a Chromebook. Zoom features are super limited, including lack of whiteboard and breakout rooms. Anyone have success teaching all remote with a Chromebook? Or should I just give in and buy a computer?

It's great that Epic for Kids has so many different titles for Ts to choose from for their own name. Including Mx. But my students just call me Talia. No title. No last name. I'd like to see that reflected in my page.

How do I do something special for and with kids while teaching online? Like, I'm just so proud of their perseverance, patience, flexibility and we need to mix it up for a bit today. Ideas?!

I'm making a virtual field trip for my students to visit me at home on the farm. We are visiting with the chickens and sheep, harvesting root veggies, planting garlic, and talking a lot about poop. Like, a lot! #myteacherisalsoafarmer

I just had the zoom equivalent of Ss staying behind in the classroom during recess to share their math strategy with me. Doing a Graham Fletcher task of course! And this is the Twitter equivalent of me running to @ShariSullivan27 's office to tell her all about it!

Yesterday a parent (from last year) emailed to thank me for reading books written by native authors. Today a student told me their parents are teaching them to be anti-racist. So that gives me some hope.

I was reading a book to my 2nd graders today in both Spanish & English. A student asked if I could start in English. Which led to the most fascinating conversation about de-centering whiteness, anti-racism & kids in my class who identify as multi-racial. I was so glad they asked!

We are going back hybrid tomorrow. I have 17 students coming. To sit in rows at desks in a double classroom. Me with a mic. Three loud hepa filters. Windows open. The anxiety is unfathomable.

This year, we are reading We Are Grateful by @tracisorell several times throughout the year, including today on the winter solstice. I am so pleased to see it on Epic, read so beautifully by the author and others (especially since I forgot to bring the book home!). Thank you!!

Today @tiffanymjewell read Milo Imagines the World by Matt de la Peña to our classes. The way Tiffany responded to comments about jails and a teacher needing more power on Zoom was spot on. Thank you, Tiffany. 💕 (Yes, our team debriefed about it! And I'm still thinking abt it!)

Hi Berkeley Everett We worked on your # talk image today and Ss are wondering what those things are! We have some guesses: mini pumpkins, cherry tomatoes, beans, oranges. Thanks.

Even tho I've had my clothesline up for years, I've never actually been able to use it. We did today! Kids loved it, and I even saw them debating about it later! (I felt joy being a teacher for the first time in a while!)
