Love that Sogdian uses γrīw as reflexive pronoun. Middle Persian spells its cognate grīw 'neck; self' with the Aramaeogram <CWLE>, from Aramaic ṣwr-h ('neck' + suff.3sgm.). In the Pahlavi Psalter, CWLE occurs twice in Ps.130.2 as translation for Syriac ܢܦܫܝ nap̄š 'my soul'.
