Banding effort by Victorian Wader Study Group continues to pay off. Sooty Oystercatcher White X3 was just recorded near Flinders, VIC. Banded age 3+ in June ‘05. At least 21 years old now! Seen 6 times here between 2014-20. Knowing it’s still alive is extremely valuable for eg survival analysis.
