It's early days - only a small subset of SCSI commands and functionality are needed to get to this point, but it's a tremendous landmark !

The programming navigation and 'font' seem to all be good, ZX81 joystick interface code should all be ready to go, minor changes were needed compared to the BBC version due to wanting to downsize the PIC microcontroller. Waiting for the proto PCB now, which I already know has to

This Government uses children as a cloak to rip away our freedoms. A Labour MP admitted live on TV the the online safety act was to target adults too. AUTHORITARIAN

Note that most of the uptick in VPN use is adults not wanting to have content censored because they won't submit to identity checks. This was always the next step for the miserable fascists in The Labour Party Nobody voted for it, only idiots support it.

Unrealized gains tax for Gen-Z: You buy a Pokémon card for $50. Someone offers you $500 for it. You say no. You love that card. You're keeping it. The government says: "Cool, but that card is worth $500 now. You owe us $100 in taxes." You: "…I didn't sell it." Government:

The Ministry of Justice has ordered Courtsdesk to delete its entire archive. When Courtsdesk asked for the matter to be referred to the Information Commissioner, no referral was made. They wrote sixteen times asking to discuss it. Labour’s response? Delete everything.

🚨News: Starmer's VPN crackdown could force all UK users to undergo intrusive ID checks. “The Prime Minister’s announcement that the government intends to restrict access to VPNs for under-16s represents a draconian crackdown on the civil liberties of children and adults alike.

Crushing level of stress at work at the moment, starting to feel quite ill. You know it's bad when it feels like there's a weight across your chest even standing.

Starmer Announces Yet More Censorship “I fear it means embedding surveillance software in every smartphone to enable the authorities to monitor users’ activity, no doubt accompanied by mandatory digital ID so no one will be able to hide” - Toby Young dailysceptic.org/2026/02/18/sta…

I mean, it's only Ubisoft and it isn't even their fault for once, but this is the continuing misery being inflicted on internet users in the UK by the authoritarian scum in The Labour Party and their pet attack dog, Ofcom Papers please. Reminder that nobody voted for this.

Well this is about as badly planned as it could be. It started as a much larger through hole design but vanity took over, then I overestimated how crammed together it needed to be. It's probably good enough to make one of, if the very basic version works (PCBs incoming).

Finally built my FD1089/FD1094 programmer so I can test an idea out. Grabbed my box of maybe "dead" FD1094 and used the verify function. Amazingly,8 out of 12 still verify as having valid security sram, held for nearly 40 years.Except for my "good" Golden Axe cpu with a bad byte.

The British government wants to scan everyone’s photos before they’re sent. Tech Secretary Liz Kendall floated blocking “potentially nude” images, which means government-mandated client side scanning on your device before encryption.
