Maybe I’m naive but I thought that as people got sick more often & watched people become disabled they would take covid & public health seriously. I didn’t think that 4 years in we would be halting testing & seeing avian flu spread. We’re going backwards & no one seems to care.

Chronic illness sucks in the sense that I’m still the exact same hard working, get after it individual that I always was. That part of me is still inside of me.

I have a theory that one reason most people tried so hard to move on from the current pandemic is because in the beginning, we had to sit with ourselves. We had to be with ourselves and most don’t know how to handle that. Processing uncomfortable feelings is not taught here.

Reflecting on Universal Basic Income, one can't help but ponder: if financial security was a given, how many hidden talents will flourish? How many entrepreneurs, artists, and inventors are we losing to the grind of survival? It's high time we unlock humanity's full potential.

The Arts are, quite literally, one of the few things that make life worth living. Without them society is just a giant marketplace where everything has a price and nothing has a value.
