As someone with a PTSD diagnosis, I know how debilitating mental health conditions can be.

The DWP Secretary says the benefits system shouldn't be paying people to deal with the “ordinary difficulties of life”.

If he thinks that's not trivialising mental illness, what is it?

Are vulnerable patients destined to “choose” to die because we’re not willing to fund the care that might make their lives worth living?

It's not a future dystopia - it's happening now. Do we care?

And it's not clear that cutting disability benefits will be a vote-winner: only 6% of adults (and just 9% of Conservative voters) think that people with disabilities currently receive too much support from the benefits system.

(I can't generally stay up overnight, as I find it affects my mental and physical health the next day. I will probably do it for the general election though).

At #PMQs today, Rishi Sunak said “this week we’re cutting taxes by £900 for everyone in work”.
