We need to stop excluding disabled people. We need to stop seeing accommodations as a burden and inconvenience. We need to take care of our most vulnerable and see the value we bring as human beings instead of what we offer for capitalism.

The system won’t help you if you become disabled. You can’t “call the ADA.” You can’t take a pill and have everything be better. You can’t go to a doctor and have them believe that it’s anything but anxiety. These things you think disabled people have to get help don’t exist.

I have a theory that one reason most people tried so hard to move on from the current pandemic is because in the beginning, we had to sit with ourselves. We had to be with ourselves and most don’t know how to handle that. Processing uncomfortable feelings is not taught here.
