Yesterday I met Russell Maddicks & his son at the presentation of their trip to San Francisco Libre, Nicaragua at RISC. I also spoke with the Nicaraguan Ambassador and learnt more about the projects supported by ReadingSFLA for a better life in San Francisco Libre.

Last Wednesday Reading celebrated 30 years of twinning with San Francisco Libre in Nicaragua. A big thank you to RISC and ReadingSFLA for organising and hosting this wonderful event.

#CentralAmerica offers lots of great trekking routes. In Nicaragua, one of the most challenging hikes is to the summit of Cerro Mogotón on the border with Honduras. The country's highest peak, it rises 6,841 feet (2,107 m) above sea level! #VisitNicaragua #VisitCentralAmerica
