Day 209: Heading back to Cyprus, and since my wife’s spouse visa is still not resolved we have to enter another home lease for her for an unknown period of time. So far I’ve not found anyone to rent to us for 6 months but need it sorted in a week. Thanks GOV.UK Home Office

This is an unacceptable and unsatisfactory response from the British Government on the MIR Minimum Income Requirements for British Citizens and Foreign Spouses… The MIR is discriminatory, unjustifiable and unlawful, the U.K. Government must accept this, and do more to stop it!

The Minimum Income Requirements (MIR) for British Citizens and Foreign Spouses is set at £29.000 well above the national minimum wage of £23.433 a year, this is discrimination! The MIR should be scrapped immediately… we call on Home Secretary Yvette Cooper to do just this!
