Small correction: there was no “groundswell of opposition” to the greyhound ban. Zero evidence of any such. There was a four-month campaign of lies and terror by Jones, Hadley and your newspaper that left the Coaliton backbench weak, confused and frightened.

Jones will now give Gladys 24 hours or so of clear oxygen and praise her as “the hope of the side”. Then it will be on to a new, bizarre demand, and total hysteria until she gives in. This is the business plan of “the power station”. Greyhounds was the ultimate example.
