If anyone’s wondering why cars have no place on public parkland, this is how Moore Park looks a few days into opening of new football stadium. Where’s duty of care from Greater Sydney Parklands? Rangers would fine a dog owner for 1000th of that damage ⁦Centennial Parklands

The Apology to the Stolen Generations was one of my proudest days in Parliament, 15 years ago today. It was a unifying moment for our nation. Later this year, all Australians will have the opportunity to be part of another unifying moment for our country.

So Tony Shepherd has quit today as Chair of Venues NSW Sydney Cricket Ground And interested to read Rob Stokes MP has advised Venues that: “Parking on a paddock in the middle of a major city is no longer good enough for motorists or park users.” smh.com.au/politics/nsw/s…

Lazy journos say the Greens are making the ‘perfect’ the enemy of the ‘good’ on the safeguard mechanism. But in reality theyre just making the ‘absolutely essential for our future prosperity’ the enemy of the ‘basically irrelevant for meaningful emissions reduction’ Stay strong.

We are extremely disappointed at the NSW Government decision to keep cars on Moore Park. During FIFA the public found plenty of alternatives when they couldn't park on the grasslands. A seriously retrograde step Paul Scully MP Penny Sharpe

Cautiously excited that half of Moore Park Golf Course to become open space - great win for densely-packed inhabitants of nearby Green Square. Hoping Chris Minns Paul Scully MP don't use it to further erode timetable for removal of cars off Moore Park. smh.com.au/politics/nsw/i…

The splutter-brained infantilism of Trump is striking: a kindergarten bully spitting out incoherent insults. Vague, muddled, mixed-up. Biden sounds like someone rasping away in the corner of a nursing home, struggling to win an argument when he should be devastating.

Those of us campaigning against French nuclear testing in the Pacific were stunned and delighted when Norm Kirk sent an unarmed NZ Navy frigate, with a Cabinet Minister on board, to the Mururoa testing zone to protest as a “silent accusing witness”. Real leadership. New Zealand Labour

Well done Senator Penny Wong. Yes, it’s occupied territory. Yes, it’s under occupation and settlements, all illegal, devouring Palestinian land. The Israeli political system has disavowed the 2 state solution. Ethnonationalists who control things had this coming theguardian.com/australia-news…

Blue on blue recriminations going on around Australia. Didn’t take long for the veneer of Liberal unity and loyalty to wear off. Decorum please! Get behind Angus and have some sympathy for former colleagues now working from home who no longer have a voice to Parliament.
