Will you tell the Prime Minister to get back on track on protecting LGBTQ+ people, so we can once again feel proud of the UK as a kind, inclusive place for everyone? Add your name to the open letter now.

Disabled households now need an extra £1,010 each month to have the same standard of living as others, research from Scope shows us. #PIP does not sufficiently cover this. However, it is a lifeline offering more of a chance to have a social life, get out, work and communicate.

My inbox is jammed full of disabled folk, many from the mental health community, terrified and thrown into increased despair and worthlessness due to Labour’s refusal to front-end validation and basic human rights. This is not what positive change looks like Keir Starmer.

Dr Jay Watts (@shrink_at_large) 's Twitter Profile Photo

We’re not opposing Starmer on welfare and benefits because we’re ‘not giving Labour a chance.’ We’re opposing him because he hasn’t shown a single sign of changing the harsh, evidence-free sanctions regime that’s contributed to the untimely deaths of many people we care about.

After 14 years in opposition, Labour have ‘come up’ with a new, unnecessary benefits snooping law—like the Tories suggested in 2016 and 2023—and an expanded back-to-work programme, which the Tories proposed in 2023. Both are dangerous. Is this the fresh start the country needs?

Poor quality journalism. The BMA have PAUSED its decision while a BMA panel reviews the Cass Review. Interesting to see what outcome that generates later in the year.

Actively resent how chipper the Tory party conference is. They had a catastrophic election! They destroyed the country! That they get to laugh at how badly Labour is doing already and discuss their return to power is an insult and I hold Keir Starmer personally responsible.

We've written, with 100+ others, to Wes Streeting to express our lack of confidence in the Cass Review and our concerns over the DHSC's implementation of it. Full letter at: transactual.org.uk/wp-content/upl… #Trans #TransHealth #Transgender #Nonbinary

Under this Labour government we are seeing effectively a hormone therapy ban for trans people, a permanent puberty blocker ban for young trans people, and the implementation of the anti-trans (and widely discredited) Cass Review. Labour are institutionally transphobic.

In countries where Self ID laws akin to those being introduced in Germany are already in place, there is no evidence to suggest that women and girls have experienced a loss of rights or that there has been a rise in abuse cases.

Opposing transgender rights, identifying as gender critical, or labeling oneself as a TERF is fundamentally rooted in a lack of scientific understanding, disconnected from reality, and lacking factual support.

I keep hearing of girls & women who are inspired by & want to be like Imane Khelif, she’s a role model to millions. My local gym’s boxing class is now packed with women. Yet I haven’t heard of anyone wanting to be like JK Rowling. She inspires no-one. Money can’t buy coolness
