I have flagged before the issue of “chosen ones” media briefings by several police forces during recent incidents. Recording, access, narratives strictly controlled. Good journalists have to start calling this out ⁦NUJ⁩ dailymail.co.uk/debate/article…

#BrockwellPark on an early summer evening ❤️ But hold on - it’s the start of summer - time to put up lots of steel fences and kick all the locals out! First two photos will be locked off by the dreaded green steel in a week or two and locals only allowed in if they pay. 😩🤦🏾‍♀️

news.sky.com/story/police-w… Well done ⁦⁦DannikaStewart⁩ for fighting the good fight and refusing to back down to GMP. 👏👏👏 Now she faces another wait to see what the IOPC have to say but a win is a win.

There are many racist issues to address but this isn’t one of them. I’m a black woman, born & raised in Brixton lived there over 20 years & I understand the reasons for the high court action. The local kids /families miss out on their park cause of greedy promotors.

Can we urge you to sign this petition. Accurate language - which is what sexed language is - is vital across health comms and particularly government health comms. The more accurate language we get in official comms, the more it will leak through to media coverage. Link next.

Those who object to music events shutting off parks are branded nimbys. But this time, I’m on their side theguardian.com/commentisfree/… Really well written article highlighting councils increasing reliance on private equity at the cost of public spaces.

I bet this happens a lot. The organisations that are meant to help you run away in times of need. The NUJ refused to help me in my battle against the BBC, after years of paying subs to them.

“Don’t give me this s--- that work-from-home Friday works. I call a lot of people on Fridays, and there’s not a goddamn person you can get a hold of.” Can’t get hold of most press officers on any day since Covid. Never mind Fridays. telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/…

Agreed. There must be an inquiry. Deporting British people who have lived here decades and had EVERY RIGHT to remain. They had built lives, families, networks, homes. It was their country. And the Home Office booted them out without blinking - shattering their lives. Shameful.

Police officer on BBC Newsnight says “grooming gangs are not predominantly Pakistani” because the data tells them this. I happen to agree with her but anyone who knows anything about CSE knows the data gathering is shambolic across the board. Nobody has a clue what’s going on.
