There's so many ways to participate in this year's #Spookyville2024. In addition to Haunted Alley, you can join neighbors the evening before to carve pumpkins to light the alley. And you can enter the No Tricks, Just Treats baking contest. Sign up at rebrand.ly/Spookyville2024.

Makes sense drivers don’t want to pay a $100 fine. Why not interview a few bus riders to see if they wanted the bus to move faster? Shouldn’t be too hard - there are more than 300,000 daily boardings on Metrobuses.

You find the craziest stuff on Reddit: a shovel from the original 1969 groundbreaking for Metro (btw, I called the store and someone bought it yesterday…) Metro Forward Randy Clarke

AI Assisted? How about give me credit that I wrote it and ran it through Chap GPT for errors and to polish my own answers. Sometimes we act as if endorsements are the only way we can get votes. It’s not, it’s the trust built, and it’s the hard Work and commitment put in to it.

This is great for Woodley!!! But when will Ward 7 get more than just the two stores we have? Oh did I forget to mention the stores are 5 miles apart and transportation is hard to access for my residents? Or that Lidl US was originally in Ward 8 before redistricting???

At this point in my life I can’t remember peoples names or email sometimes. So FYI if I mess up your name or email, please don’t take it to heart. Unlike the rest of the politicians in DC I’m an unpaid elected official who works hard as Elementary school teacher and as an ANC.

Today, I introduced the Luggage for All Youth in Foster Care Act, or Lisa’s Law. The bill mandates luggage be provided to every child in foster care & bans use of trash bags for that purpose. It’s a simple step to affirm kids' worth & offer stability during hard transitions.

Thank you CM Janeese Lewis George . When I was in foster care all my clothes was in black trash bags and I had no toiletries. This seems small but just having your clothes in luggage makes a big difference. 💜

NEW: After 10 dogs drowned in a flood last year, my office opened an investigation into whether District Dogs misled pet owners and hid known safety risks.   Now, District Dogs will create new emergency response procedures, close its Rhode Island Ave location & pay $100,000.

Today marks the start of the new fiscal year for DC!

That means all the bills, programs, and projects funded in the FY25 budget are beginning to go into effect.

Here's a short 🧵 on some of the improvements to expect in the coming months.
