BREAKING: Metro board approves budget for next year. Avoids major cuts to bus/rail service, but increases fares - bus fares will go from $2.00 to $2.25, Metrorail fares will go from range of $2-$6 to a new range of $2.25-$6.75.  Top MetroAccess fare rises from $4 to $4.50. #wmata
