We would always encourage use of established systems and would hope casualty reports are given using map/chart references whenever possible. However this is a BRILLIANT tool which can save lives- particularly in areas such as beaches where reference points are hard to find.

This swell forecast is very worrying for north coast of Devon & Cornwall. A normal morning surf will build to over 15 feet in a couple of hours. Combined with incoming spring tide & no lifeguards, this could be a recipe for disaster. Keep out of the water on Fri afternoon please.
