Yesterday, our apprentices were joined at Stein's Cookery Schl by Group Chef Stephane Delourme for a masterclass in all things meat. He shared with them the techniques to cook tried and tested classics like beef Wellington, tartare and stew.

A big thank you to everyone that supported our charity lunches for Cornish homeless charity, St Petrocs. You helped to raise a fantastic £5,500 to aid their important work across the county.

Congratulations to our Chef de Partie Henry who yesterday was awarded the Kyle Award. It's given to the apprentice who has shown the greatest development since beginning their career with us. Henry has been promoted twice under the guidance of Head Chef Mark.

Our Sous Chef Paul spent last night cooking with Rick Stein at Obsession 20. At Northcote, it’s an event over 17 nights featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. Paul also shared the kitchen with Brian Turner, Nigel Haworth and Lisa Goodwin-Allen - what an experience.

Our annual staff party with colleagues from around Cornwall always includes a few awards to say a special thank you to those that have gone above and beyond over the last 12 months. Congratulations to Oliver, Sarah, Claire, Nicola and Team Retail for winning on the night 👏🏻
