Key messages about feelings by Dr Karen Treisman, MBE, Clinical Psychologist. So important to be mindful of how children can experience different feelings about a situation. What is safe and enjoyable for one child can be overwhelming or terrifying for another.

Wonderful to train some fab foster carers today- one of a series of layering training. So moved by some of the experiences shared in the breaks and at the end- beautiful examples of leaving heart prints

A stark image which suggests a craving for control over children. I wonder why this type of military precision is nowhere to be found in adult workplaces. I also wonder why people are shocked when children can no longer mask and eventually react against this control.

I’ve learnt there’s lots of reasons people find Christmas difficult. Grief, loneliness, trauma, infertility, mental illness… If you’re not ‘feeling’ Christmas, do yourself a favour & be KIND to yourself. It’s OK to feel like an outsider (I promise you’re not the only one!) ❤️

Children's voices matter. It's Children's Mental Health week and the theme is 'my voice matters'. Educational Psychologist's from across the country explain why it is so important that children's voices are heard. 👏 Thanks to the EP's who collaborated with us on this video.

Really interesting perspectives in this activity with Spectrum Gaming. Calls to rethink or move away from traditional practices always elicit intense debate. Ultimately it’s about having the courage to #FlipTheNarrative & create systems which accept differences. #FierceCuriosity

If you are an EP watching the SEND system in despair, wondering why it is so stuck and what you can do about it, then grab a cuppa and take a read. It’s time for a revolution! Who’s in? edpsyched.co.uk/blog/we-don-t-…

Thank you so much to everyone at @WakefieldEPS for the thoughtful gifts. You are such an amazing team and I can’t thank you enough for all the support you have given me over the last couple of years. You have no idea how much it means. I’m ready for my next adventure (I think😬)

Will you tell the Prime Minister to get back on track on protecting LGBTQ+ people, so we can once again feel proud of the UK as a kind, inclusive place for everyone? Add your name to the open letter now.
