Due to load shedding farmers now have to use manual Labour to break hard crusting under Centre pivots otherwise irrigated crops will be lost.. things are very tough in Zim at the moment . Dont know how much more of this we as farmers can take

Had a meeting with ZETDC (Kadoma) this morning to query what appeared to be abnormal electricity bill, it turned out that there was a significant tariff increase.
Irrigation now costs farmers US$450/ha from $64/ha! Hitherto, total cost for wheat had been US$1,500/ha. Now $1950.
If one considers Government's irrational policy of allowing imports, where will that leave the farmer in 2023/24 season?
