On the eve of World Environment Day Rayagada Municipality organized a Road Show for ending Plastic Pollution. Awareness created among the Commercial establishments and Street Vendors explaining the harmful effects of polythene and requested to keep their environment sanitized.

The Orientation programme of Elected representatives of the ULBs on all urban initiatives was conducted today in the presence of Collector, PD DUDA, all EOs, Chairpersons, Vice Chairpersons, Councilors, ULB/PHED and DUDA officials.

A mass orientation programme of Sanitation workers of Rayagada municipality was conducted on Solid waste management. Safety gears and glowing jackets were distributed by Chairperson, Vice Chairperson, EO and DUDA team.

Review meeting by Chief Engineer cum Additional Secretary to Govt, HUD dept. was conducted with the three ULBs of Rayagada district along with a field visit to different project sites to review the status.

Today a group of 12 IAS/IPS/IFS Officers from LBSNAA Uttarakhand visited Rayagada municipality and discussed on the urban development schemes and programmes. The team visited SUH centre, Wealth centre, Aahaar kendra and FSTP.

Today PD DUDA Rayagada visited Rayagada municipality office to distribute the mobile phones to Core sanitation workers under Garima scheme, inaugurated the Mo-khata kiosk and visited SUH centre to review the preparedness in this winter season.

Today the District level Inception meeting on SAHAJOG initiative, the first interaction workshop for preparation of Master plan/CDP in Rayagada municipality and DUDA review meeting was conducted by Collector and PD DUDA Rayagada.
