People seem very confused about “digital ID”. It is not the same thing as carrying ID cards that people have in the EU. It is a wholly different beast. It means you have a number. An identifier. Your ability to do anything can be turned off by the government at any time.

Digital ID is not a left vs right issue. It’s a freedom vs tyranny issue. No one in Britain voted for the Fabian Society to implement a dystopian surveillance state. We won’t accept it in the UK. Not now, not ever.
