And numbers of closure are the lowest in 5 years even though we have proved this is wrong. Why are you not acknowledging closure. There should be no closures because of funding. All of these services closed over funding. @dcediy The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

We had meeting in Clare and Cork this week. Huge turn out of providers Tds and parents. Everyone is on board for closures. We have nothing to loose anymore. Parents very happy to support and shocked at the way we are being treated. mmcgrathtd The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

Siobhan The Federation of Early Childhood Providers This man is a clown, smirking and boasting about how the Green Party has improved the work/life balance for everyone. 8 weeks of unpaid work this Summer doing admin for DCEDIY preparing for the new school year. No work/life balance here and no income. He is well aware of this!!

Siobhan The Federation of Early Childhood Providers . I’m sure you are aware of all the unpaid hours providers and staff have worked over the past 8 weeks. Many providers working every night and weekends. Where is the work life balance for a predominately women lead sector that is under your remit. The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers Siobhan The Federation of Early Childhood Providers He’s well aware, but it’s a Green Party Election campaign that he’s running now, to the detriment of all of his briefs, and none suffering more than childcare. Many providers have no work/life balance, just went 8 weeks with no pay and have unviable businesses due to underfunding

@BigStartIreland Hang your heads in shame for trying to divide the sector & supporting Gov policy with low funds for ECEC services preventing an increase in wages, sad day when employers fighting harder than union for their employees. Big start part of the problem! #3centmakesnosense

So many services closed this summer but seems they didn't count to be counted, as still listed as open?? Roderic O’Gorman TD says protests are unwarranted. With a shortage of places services should not be closing. Denial is not helpful, time for dcediy to sort crisis in ECEC Aontú

What a despicable & misinformed article! LARGE CHAINS may have tripled their profits but small services like mine nearly went broke. Absolute SHAME on you SIPTU for supporting such lies. Appalling but not surprising behaviour from a Govt Propagandist. independent.ie/irish-news/chi…

Soon we march again if only they listened a yr ago how many services could have been saved? How many services exactly have to close before Roderic O’Gorman TD & @dcediy will listen. Parents cannot access places they're not happy!! Aontú Fianna Fáil Sinn Féin The Labour Party Ireland

Sad to see a change towards such divisive methods used to highlight issues involving so many in the early years sector (which ironically as we all know is predominantly female led)

Noel Chambers (@noelfchambers) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Fiona Treacy-Bowe There’s a lot of people working now for organisations that are funded by the DCEDIY either directly or indirectly who are nothing but mouthpieces for the minister. They are so transparent when they attack the ‘greedy’ providers or push forward the minister’s agenda. Ignore them.

Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers massive turnout yesterday and great to be part of it. Momentum building. Even @BigStartIreland doing their part pushing their survey of 6 CHAIN’S profits all day, proving that Core Funding is unfairly distributed explaining why so many thousand hit the streets. 👏👏

Teresa Heeney You claim to representing 3600 providers and yet you don’t support them. Services are being forced out of business. Fix the issue that is here now. Fundamentally the issue is funding. Sort that out and everything else falls into place. The Federation of Early Childhood Providers

Off we go again Oct 26th & again & again until @dcediy get it! In the meantime parents may pay & make up government shortfall. Until realistic pay and viablity for services addressed the sector will remain in crises. Roderic O’Gorman TD Micheál Martin Leo Varadkar Elaine Dunne Federation Early Childhood Providers

So many providers have had enough of the administration burden forced on them because of department bureaucracy. We are 💯 saying no to Chart of accounts. The cost and time it will take has to be taken into consideration. Speaking to so many ECCE only services who received their final payment on the 17th November which leaves these services in financial difficulty for Christmas. Every year it’s the same. No money to pay staff holidays or pay themselves. When will you get this right @dcediy
