I’ve done this, and I’ve done that. Now I’m doing the other: advising, helping, and supporting people. Oh, and sometimes having a laugh; occasionally a rant!

Why is Ed Balls, the husband of the Home Secretary, allowed to carry out interviews regarding public policy overseen by his wife? The way he and Kate Garraway treated Zarah Sultana MP on Good Morning Britain today was disgraceful and unacceptable.

Goodness me, no wonder local authority officials and councillors are held in such contempt. Watching Clarkson’s Farm makes me weep at the kind of people paid, or elected, to represent us, none more so than West Oxfordshire District Council. Pettyness and unhelpfulness at its very best

If we're allowing Government to take these decisions in order to 'improve' the health of the nation, why not ban alcohol in pubs too? Will we soon see pork scratchings be smuggled around on the black market? Let's show some sense and let's treat people like adults.

Watching #untilikillyou on ITV reminds me of how the Police, and totally out of touch Judges, let victims down time after time. Lawyers, I suppose, are just doing their jobs, even if it does mean they see a good win for them seeing a mad axeman go free on bail to attempt murder

Watching #untilikillyou on ITV: honest question to any lawyer: how do you represent someone like John Sweeney, seek to put his victim through hell, and then go to sleep at night? Some things I just morally couldn’t do.

Brian Glanville, who has sadly passed away aged 93, was the greatest football writer this country has ever known. The joy evoked by Glanville was not only in reading his beautiful, insightful words. But also listening to his eloquent appraisal of a player, a manager, a match.

Holidays are great, Jet2tweets . But airports and delays quickly turn you from totally chilled out to utterly stressed. Communication to frustrated passengers to keep them updated is so easy - you should try it some time.
