Worried about #GMOs? Nature was putting "foreign" DNA in #organic food long before humans were smart enough to figure it out. #geneticengineering is a technology that offers many benefits to farmers and families, without causing any documented harm. npr.org/sections/goats…

I receive quite a few requests to test for allergies in asymptomatic people 'just to make sure'. Here's a simple starting point: What are your symptoms? If you do not have reproducible symptoms with exposures, you are not allergic. No test will change that. #WednesdayWisdom

I'm a dad to athletic kids, which basically means I have a PhD in this stuff (not really). But I do know a bit of stuff. Have a listen to my appearance on the Parenthetical (Science) Podcast (Parenthetical (Science) Podcast), which is all about raising healthier, happier kids. Hey—it’s summertime, and your teenagers have a lot more free time to go “to the movies” and “hang out” with “friends.” Have you talked to them about sex? Seatbelts? Drinking? Drugs?

Fantastic conversation with Dr. Melisa Holmes from Girlology® about talking to kids/teens about puberty and sex. Will be out next week! Also, Chad might have signed up to be a guyologist. Penis. Vagina. (Listen to the episode...it’ll make sense.)
