Sick. Absolutely sick.Even if this comes out of pure ignorance (and she should not be ignorant) it is abhorrent. Revelling in the suffering of others; in the punishment of a ‘category’ of person. Cruelty personified.

'What's wrong with her? What happened? Who hurt her?' A 'heartbroken' and 'disgusted' James O'Brien rips Home Secretary Suella Braverman to utter shreds for 'dreaming of deporting completely innocent and decent fellow human beings'. James O'Brien

Utterly bewildering Govt attack on solar farms. Solar is a win-win for energy & food security - it's *9 times cheaper* than climate-wrecking oil & gas (and much faster to deploy too), and fields with solar panels can still produce food. Who's behind these nonsensical Govt plans?

THREAD: Here's a handy list of Tory MPs who said Boris Johnson had to go in July and are now saying he should be PM. It's been quite the journey for some...

At noon Rishi Sunak promised “integrity, professionalism & accountability” At 5pm he made Suella Braverman Home Secretary, 1wk after she resigned for Ministerial Code breach/security lapse He put party before country. Security is too important for this irresponsible Tory chaos

Think if I were Starmer I'd use one of my PMQs tomorrow to ask "was Suella Braverman right to resign last week for breaking security rules"?

New Prime Minister, same grubby Tories. Rishi Sunak promised "integrity" but his first act was to make backroom deals to reinstate a Home Secretary a week after she was sacked for a security breach. We need a general election now. #PMQs

This is one of the most sensible and articulate positions on the migrant crisis I’ve ever heard. Just shows you the white working class are not a homogenous body of racists as many would have you believe. Sensible, kind and community-led politics.

In the seven years that I have worked with refugees in Calais I have heard many sad and shocking stories. Yesterday, however, I read something that chilled me to the marrow. A 🧵

Football players will deliberately incur yellow cards when celebrating goals - removing shirts, climbing into the fans etc. They routinely harangue and abuse referees, knowing it carries a yellow card for dissent. But *this* is where they draw a line? Not a good look.
